Operators the Moma Titanium Minerals Mine in the northern part of the country, Kenmare Resources has appointed Tom Hickey new managing director.

Hickey previously finance director takes over from Michael Carvill, the founder who has been at the helm of the company for the past four decades.

Carvill leaves the company with a robust balance sheet, strong and capable team, a tier one asset, a market-leading position and a robust balance sheet.

However, reduced shipments impacted our financial performance. Shipments have strengthened in early H2, supported by strong visibility of customer orders, high finished product inventories and seasonally better weather conditions. Consequently, revenue is expected to be second-half weighted.
